Monday, April 30th kicks off the beginning of Doernbecher Fest, our biggest annual fundraiser, which helps support Doernbecher Children’s Hospital.

Earlier this year we hosted Brian’s Relay, another fundraising event, in honor of a former student, Brian Tinkle. Brian was one of the first students to participate in the fundraising for Doernbecher. He passed away in 2003. A relay was created in his memory to support the children’s hospital, which he felt so passionate about.

Doernbecher Fest will be trying to raise as much money as possible by providing activities that will take place after school, during the first week of May. These activities include eating at local restaurants, playing games, and even having our very own carnival.

“All the dress up days are mainly for spirit and fun,” says Ms. Courtney Scott, “the money we recently made from Brian’s Relay will also go to Doernbecher, in order to help us reach our goal of $20,000.”

Be sure to sport the school’s designated clothing style for spirit days and attend fun activities taking place to raise money for a great cause.

Check out the schedule below to make sure you don’t miss any of these events.
