The Boys Soccer team sits with an overall record of 1-10, and there are three more league games scheduled to finish off the season.

During their pre-season, they played many teams not in our new 5A league, such as Beaverton (6A), Tigard (6A), Franklin (6A) and Seaside (4A). Playing these larger schools pre-season gave the boys a taste of what it would be like to play in the new league where the schools have a larger selection of players.

“I think they helped us… prepare for what we are up against… If we played all the 4A teams [that] we played before, we would have gone into 5A thinking that we are the best team ever,” said junior forward Ashton Kauffman.

The season is close to coming to an end, however, there are still a handful more games for the team to get out and play. Although the players are unaware of a plan in place to improve their strategy, members of the team believe that they needed some time to get up and running.

“The beginning of the season went a little bit slow, we didn’t get things started off as fast as we wish we had, but now we are getting things done… each game we are getting better and better,” said mid-fielder Maxwell White.

Although this season is close coming to an end, the team believes that they are getting better and better, and hope to win their last three games.
