Scappoose Track and Field are headed to their first meet at Grant High School next Friday, after only three weeks of practice. For the first year, the team will be competing against bigger schools and talent at the 5A level. Dennis Olstedt, the new head coach of the team seems hopeful for future meets to come. “I’m very excited for the season, great kids, great coaching staff, and I’m looking forward to being in a new league. It’s gonna be a great season. It’s gonna be really fun.”
